SocialErasmus (SE) is one of the international project of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). Our aim is to involve international students, participating in university exchanges, into social and volunteering activities in their host countries. The project promotes a social attitude among international students, and facilitates their social integration into the local community while exploring the added value that resides in the diversity of Europe. The project goes under the slogan:
Reach higher! Go further! Go social!
Mov'in Europe is an ESN initiative to promote mobility.
It is based on two pillars:
- Mobility is a lifestyle that every young person should have the opportunity to embrace
- ESN and its volunteers can help young people to take the first step
For its 25th anniversary, ESN not only promotes mobility but also celebrates it by making the international experience of higher education students richer, by promoting mobility through its 15000 volunteers' network experiencing the active european citizenship among the 452 associations of ESN in 37 countries.
ESN developed the ExchangeAbility project to make our organisation accessible for students with disabilities, to help remove obstacles to participation in exchange and promote the opportunities available.
The ExchangeAbility project was also initiated due to a recognition of the current situation regarding the mobility of students with disabilities. According to the data from the European Commission, during the academic year 2009/10 230 students with special needs receiving a supplementary grant participated in Erasmus for study. This represents 0.14 % of all Erasmus students. Although an increase compared to the previous years has been observed, the number is still exceptionally low.
Responsible Party is a pan-European awareness campaign created by Pernod Ricard as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Responsible Party is also the Pernod Ricard commitment at the European Alcohol and Health Forum.
The goal of the program is to raise awareness among students on responsible drinking and to contribute to the reduction of excessive and inappropriate consumption of alcohol among young adults.
Multilingual Lithuania is a voluntary social-educational native language teaching project launched for Lithuanians. ESN Lithuania in cooperation with Invest Lithuania organizes this project every year in order to encourage Lithuanians to learn foreign languages. Since there is a great number of foreign students from various countries who study in Lithuania, there is a wide range of different language courses being organized. The lessons are free of charge and conducted by native language speakers who are eager to teach languages through their culture, traditions and lifestyle. The duration of that project is 2.5 months including 10 seminars of teacher-to-students learning process. The project has overwhelming advantages to both, Lithuanians and foreigners, because Lithuanians get acquainted with new culture, acquire foreign language skills, and make friends and foreign students gain teaching experience, improve their character traits, become aware of Lithuanian culture, and receive certificates.

Erasmus in Schools
Erasmus in Schools (EiS) is the main activity within the education pillar of SocialErasmus. The aim of Erasmus in Schools is to involve international students participating in a university exchange in school visits in their host country, where they can do a wide range of activities that include country and culture presentations, language sessions and mobility promoting activities. Project offers new ways for international students to expand their knowledge of other cultures and educational systems and enables them to engage in society-beneficial activities bringing them closer to the local communities they live in. Through various activities the project promotes a social attitude to international students while at the same time, combining formal and informal education with intercultural experiences.
Colours of Lithuania
This is a new project, carried out in collaboration with State Department of Tourism Under the Ministry of Economy. The purpose of this photo contest is to integrate incoming foreign students into our society, get them in touch with Lithuania, its traditions and culture.
The project, which is carried out every half-year (semester), covers a wide variety of topics which will help exchange students to socialize more and get a taste of Lithuanian lifestyle. #ShowLithuania is the theme of 2015 fall semester.
Almost everyone foreign student does not forget their camera as they are packing their stuff for their exchange. It is hard to imagine saving memories without one… You only need to find a suitable moment, which would (re)present the country through the student’s eyes. After you submit your photo to the contest, we are suggesting to share it on your Instagram account using this semester’s theme - #ShowLithuania.
