Hello, people!
Thinking of what to do some rainy evening when your favorite TV series season finished and you are tired of just staying home and waiting for the rain to stop? I have an offer for you! Take your friends and try to get locked in some room all together. Yeah, it is almost exactly as it sounds.
Though... firstly, I think I should tell a little bit about who I am. My name is Živilė and I am one of the mentors of ESN Vilnius University. I discovered escape rooms with the help of... you are not going to believe it, but with the help of international students!
More than a year ago a few of our students invited me to join them in one fun activity - getting locked in a room for one hour, solving riddles and trying to escape from there as soon as possible before the given hour comes to an end. It was really extreme and adventurous, as well as working in a team and trying to find the right way to get out of the room. We were really proud of ourselves to make it in 58 minutes, as far as I remember.
Some time later after this one, I took some other mentors and ESNers for a teambuilding to another place with the same activity, I also went there with other international students, where we were locked in a madhouse, dressed up with straitjackets... Crazy, right?
At that time I knew only two such places existing in Vilnius. Later on, there are more and more of them, you just need to choose any of them if they have free time for you - they are so popular, you have to book it quite in advance. :)
The last time I went to such place was in February, together with my mentees during the Orientation week on a Friday with mentor. We had our eyes blinded with bands, got tied and locked with chains and left in the complete dark in a room, which belongs to some mafia boss who likes torturing people! Luckily we managed to escape already hearing the mafia boss coming down the stairs for us...
So if you are up to have some fun, show how smart you are and just simply have a good time with your friends, try to escape from some room!

Živilė
